It Has Been Too Long!

I cannot believe that it has been so long since I last contributed to this site. I wrote in my last Editor's Corner in January that I was not feeling well and would be unable to maintain the site as well as I would have liked. And little did I know that it would take almost a year to get back to it. I would like to proudly announce that I gave birth to my first child on August 6th. It was the morning sickness that caused me to stop working on the site. I was terribly sick for the first 4 months. Now that my little girl is 3 months old and I am feeling up to it I will try to pick up where I left off by providing uplifting and inspirational news, stories, books and more for you to enjoy.

Check out the movie "Once". It came out in early 2007 and is now available in DVD. "Once" is one of those magical movies that chronicles the unique meeting/ relationship of two musicians - and their ability to create amazing music. Highly recommended!

Akeelah and the Bee is a touching movie. It is funny and inspiring. Akeelah is a young girl growing up in south Los Angeles surrounded by people she doesn't feel she can relate to. She finds she has a talent and pursues it despite her mother's objection.
